On a Wednesday afternoon Miss Kiss and Mrs Mahmoud will cover the class whilst the teachers plan the next exciting week.

Term 1

This term we will spend lots of time settling the children into the new routines, learning our school Give Me 5 Rules and talking about emotions.

PE

PE will be on Friday mornings. Please make sure your child comes to school in full PE kit (Willowcroft top, tracksuit/shorts, trainers)

Maths

In Maths over the next few weeks we will be singing number nursery rhymes, using our fingers to represent the numbers in the songs and matching numbers to the songs we sing. From week 3 we will be looking at Match, Compare and sort. Children will be introduced to the concept of matching. They will start by matching physical objects with other physical objects and then they will move on to sorting by shape, size colour and even texture.

Each week we will post maths challenges linked to the learning we are doing in class.  Have a go at doing these at home.
