Term 2 was full of excitement with food tasting, a walk to the post box, the nativity and lots of Christmas fun. This term is all about Traditional Tales and promises to be just as exciting as the last term. 

On a Wednesday afternoon Miss Ellis and a supply teacher will cover the class whilst the teachers plan the next exciting week.

Term 2

The children will learn about what a Traditional Tale.  We will use story maps, puppets and even act out some of the stories. Children will get to grow their very own magic bean, make bridges for The 3 Billy Goats Gruff and build houses for The 3 Little Pigs. The children will also get to go to Forest School on Wednesdays.

PE

PE will be on Friday mornings. Please make sure your child comes to school in full PE kit (Willowcroft top, tracksuit/shorts, trainers) 

Forest School

Forest School will start this term. Children need to come to school wearing their Forest School clothes, long sleeved top and joggers. They must also have a warm coat, hat and gloves. They do not need waterproof clothing as we will supply this.  They will need wellies if they are not already at school and shoes to change into after the session.  Half of the class will go in the morning and half in the afternoon.

Maths

In Maths this term we will look at number 0-5 followed by mass and capacity and then going on to complete the term by looking at numbers beyond 5 to 10.
