Welcome to Kestrels!
Hello all and welcome to the Kestrels Class page.
I hope you enjoy have all had a fabulous Easter holiday and are ready to continue on our learning journey in Year 5. We will be starting our new Topic for the term, which is Earth and Space. If you have any questions or things you want to run past me, then please just pop and see me at drop off or pick.
I cannot wait to get stuck back into our learning.

Here is all the important information that you need to know for the upcoming term but if there is anything you need clarification on, please come and speak to us.
- School gates open at 8:30
- School finishes at 3:10pm
- KS2 Gold Book Assembly is every other Thursday
- PE is on a Wednesday (inside)
- Homework is handed out on a Friday and is due back the following Friday
- Homework consists of:
- 15mins of times table practice on TTRS.
- Reading, where they should be completing 5-reads a week and record these on either Boom Reader or in their reading journal.
- Homework consists of:
- 5th June Yr5 trip to Botanical Gardens
- 18th June Yr5/6 Swimming Gala (specific children)
- Week of 22nd June NFER week
- 23rd Secret Garden Workshop
- 26th June Water Safety Assembly
- 30th Winchester Space Centre
- 9th July Yr5/6 Rounders Tournament at Edmonds Park (specific children)
- 13th July Yr5/6 Rounders Tounrament at Willowcroft (specific children)
- 17th July last day, finish at 1pm and non-school uniform
