Dragonflies Class

Teacher – Mrs Peach

Teaching Assistant's - Mrs Ridley and Mrs Hart

In Term 1 the Reception children will focus on what makes them special. They will share their ideas with their peers using photographs in a show and tell style.

They will explore their senses in Science and experience their first baking session of the year!

PE

Frog's P.E sessions will be on a Thursday. They will be learning about Body Management and we will be focusing on developing their fine and gross motor skills.  

Forest School

This will take place on a Wednesday NEXT TERM and children will need to be prepared for the sun but also chilly moments and sometimes rain! 

Maths

In Maths this term we will be looking at matching, sorting and comparing. The children will begin to learn about basic measurements and patterns and begin to learn to subitise, represent, find one more, one less and the composition of 1, 2, and 3. 

We start off slowly to make sure that children have a strong understanding of these numbers. Children can often count beyond but they do not have an understanding of what they are counting.

Each week we will post on the class Dojo page about the learning we are doing in class.
