Free MAGIC Breakfast
We provide the Magic Breakfast scheme. This is a Government initiative to encourage all children to start the day with a healthy breakfast and it is funded by the sugar tax.
Most children love the bagels and, since Covid-19 began, the children eat them in their classrooms while they are learning. This is usually between 9.00 and 9.30am.
We do not anticipate that every child will eat breakfast every day. The scheme is targeted at children who are not eating breakfast at home or for those times when parents and carers are running late and do not have time to feed the children without being late for school. However, every child will have access to the bagels -unless they have an allergy (see below)
Children with allergies and intolerances
Bagels: Wheat flour, water, Wholemeal flour, sugar, salt yeast and malt (made in a factory which uses milk products and may contain sesame seeds)
Cornflakes No allergen warnings
Cheerios Oat flour, wheat (may contain nuts)
We already hold details of your child’s allergies. However, if this has changed please put this in writing to the office so that we can update your child’s details.
If you have questions, please speak to Tracy Belcher in the first instance.
