Welcome to the Lynx Class!
The Lynx class is being taught by Miss Hague and Mrs Coakley and our teaching assistant is the wonderful Miss Paynter!
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all back and starting Term 3 with a bang!
This term we will be taking part in the whole school topic - 'When I Grow Up...'.
The Lynx class will be exploring this topic through Literacy, maths, art, geography, science and P.E.
In particular, we will be writing our biographies about our classmates in Literacy, different countries and places the children might like to travel in geography, conducting artist studies in art and human circulation in science.
They will be looking at successful people with interesting careers; from firemen to authors, and electricians to nurses. The children will be investigating who inspires them, all the ways they could use that inspiration to shape their futures and explore the different possibilities out there.
This term will we be doing plenty of P.E. and dance every Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week, so please make sure P.E. kits are brought in and kept in on their cloakroom pegs.
Homework will be consisted of spellings, the reading record challenge and MyMaths. These will be set every Wednesday and expected to be completed by the following Monday.
Please feel free to pop in either in the morning or after school if you have any concerns. Both Miss Hague and Mrs Coakley will be more than happy to help in any way they can.
