Welcome to the Lynx Class!
This year the brand new Lynx class is being taught by Miss Hague and Mrs Coakley and our teaching assistant is the wonderful Miss Paynter!
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all and getting started for a fantastic year ahead!
This term we will be exploring our first whole school topic of the year - 'Our World'.
The Lynx class will be learning all about how we see the world through Literacy, maths, art, geography, science and P.E.
In particular, we will be looking at recycling and how we can be an important part of helping our planet and all the other people on it. We will be using lots of recycling waste as part of our art projects this term so PLEASE BRING SOME IN!
They will be writing stories based on the book 'Trash', looking at place value in maths, looking at the Harvest festival, creating fashion outfits and investigating different countries from around the world.
This term will we be doing plenty of P.E. and dance every Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week, so please make sure P.E. kits are brought in and kept in on their cloakroom pegs.
Please feel free to pop in either in the morning or afterschool if you have any concerns. Both Miss Hague and Mrs Coakley will be more than happy to help in any way they can.
We do have a 'Meet the Teacher' session afterschool on Wednesday 13th September.
Homework will be consisted of spellings, reading and MyMaths. These will be set every Friday and expected to be completed every Monday.
