An Introduction to the Curriculum 

 

At Willowcroft we strive to provide the children with a curriculum that is broad, engaging and full of experiences. The foundation subjects (History, Geography, Computing, DT, Music and Art) are taught through topics, with the National Curriculum objectives being covered within that topic. Please click on the following icons to see the National Curriculum Objectives for your child’s year group.

 

Every topic the children study leads towards a 'Learning Celebration' or outcome. The children will utilise their knowledge to work towards this outcome which will be open to parents at the end of the term. Through each topic we aim to include every child, no matter their ability or background, and ensure that these topics are not only engaging for the children, but memorable too.

 

The Curriculum topics follow a 2 year cycle. The following table shows the topics being studied this year:
